Welcome New Students!

We've been waiting for you

Greetings to our newest Jaguars.

As Principal, it is always a pleasure to be involved with our grade nines because it reminds me of the excitement of being in high school.  As the newest members of our community, we are relying on you to bring a sense or enthusiasm and freshness to our community.

Despite the limitations of our current learning environment, you can’t play sports or try out for the play,  we are counting on you to inspire all of us to look at this experience with fresh eyes and the enthusiasm of those who are enjoying an amazing opportunity for the first time.

Please ignore any feelings that you may be having about being rookies or newcomers or the youngest in the school.  We are very glad to have you here and we are counting on you to make a visible and positive contribution as a class and as a group of individuals.

For some of you this is a continuation of your Catholic Education. For others, this may be your introduction to a community of Faith.  During this time of particular challenge, I hope that you all will feel a sense of comfort as we celebrate and pray together.  At JPII Catholic School, we support and celebrate the great diversity that has been a part of our history for more than thirty years.

Hopefully we will get to know each other on a more personal basis as we welcome you into school.

Stay safe and God Bless you as this new chapter in your lives unfolds.

Mr. Cassidy

Attention Grade 8's and their Parents/Guardians,
We are thrilled to offer yet another opportunity for students in grade 8 to learn about what to expect in high school and to meet and greet peers who will be attending the same school in the fall.
On Saturday, June 12th our Club is offering students in grade 8 an opportunity to meet and greet others who will be attending their high school, play a few games, and gain more insights about what to expect when they enter into grade 9 by hearing from older students who have lived through this transition.   As well, those who register to attend this session will get a high school survival kit!
And in addition to learning more about what to expect and hopefully make a few new friends, students will learn about the various programs and supports offered to high school students through our organization including tutoring, scholarships, job skills training, audio recording, and so much more! As well, they can become involved with our Club this summer to complete some of the volunteer hours that are mandatory to graduate from high school.
If you would like your child to attend this FREE transition to high school session please register them using this link: https://form.jotform.com/211335835234249

Dear God, I ask for Your help as I begin this new school year after so many months of isolationFill me with Your peace and joy and allow me to experience Your presence in the many blessings You put before me.

Open my eyes to the new challenges and exciting opportunities that this new school year brings.

Open my heart and mind to new friends and new teachers at JP2

Give me a generous spirit to be enthusiastic with my studies and courage to accept new opportunities.

Help me to be attentive to my teachers and let me experience Your presence in my new friends.
